1 Description American Traveler is seeking a CVOR Surgical Tech with at least 2 years of adult CVOR experience for a 13-week night shift contract at a Level 1 Trauma, Magnet-designated academic medical center. Details Hospital-based position within a dedicated cardiovascular OR department featuring 7 ORs for adult and pediatric cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries Department also supports the Cath Lab and EP Lab Patient population includes adult and pediatric cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgical cases 12-hour night shifts (1900-0700) with 36 standard hours per week On-call requirement of 1 night per week and 2 weekends per 6-week scheduling period, with a 1-hour callback time Weekend coverage may be required if an in-house staff member calls out while you are on call Schedule cycles every 6 weeks Occasional floating to a sister CVOR facility is possible but unlikely
EMR:
Epic Requirements Minimum 2 years of adult CVOR experience required Experience with adult CVOR case types including cardiac, thoracic, and vascular surgeries BLS certification preferred but not required Surgical tech national certification preferred but not required License required if applicable Epic EMR experience Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible Last 4 digits of SSN and full DOB required for consideration Minimum 1 professional reference dated within the past year from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN Additional Information First-time travelers will be considered for this position Candidates who have worked a permanent position at an Advocate Health Southeast (AHSE) facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being eligible Orientation consists of NEO plus 2 days of departmental orientation, with duration dependent on experience level Holiday coverage may be required if holidays fall within the contract period Time off requests require manager approval Department support includes a Clinical Supervisor, Charge RN, OR Assistants, Anesthesia/CRNA team, and experienced peers Personal scrubs are worn to and from the hospital; hospital-issued scrubs are required in the OR Sleep room available during on-call shifts Parking is free This is a Level 1 Trauma and Level 1 Pediatric Trauma facility with Magnet Designation, teaching hospital status, and programs including a Chest Pain Center and Stroke Center
