1 Description American Traveler is seeking a CVOR Surgical Tech with at least 2 years of OR experience and strong CABG, TAVR, vascular, and thoracic case proficiency for a hospital operating room position in Charlotte, NC. Details Work in a hospital operating room with 13 ORs plus one procedure/cystoscopy room, averaging 45 cases per day CVOR patient population includes cardiothoracic (CABG, AVR, MVR, mini mitral, septal myomectomy), vascular (fistula creations, transcarotid revascularization, carotid and femoral endarterectomy, bypasses, iliac artery thrombectomy, brachial pseudoaneurysm repair, carotid baroreceptor implantation, hybrid cases, dissections), and thoracic (VATS, robotic resections, lobectomies, pericardial windows) cases Experience scrubbing in orthopedic, cardiothoracic, vascular, general, urology, robotic, GYN, colon, breast, spine, podiatry, and plastic cases requiredEMR:
Epic Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, and Philips monitors 10-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, 36 standard hours per week CVOR call: 4-5 weeknight calls per 6-week schedule (12-hour shifts starting as early as 5:00 PM) and 1-2 weekend call shifts per 6-week schedule (Friday as early as 5:00 PM through Monday) 30-minute call response time required; sleep room available on-site Holidays are covered on a call rotation, which travelers are included in Requirements Minimum of 2 years of OR experience in specialty (CVOR CST) Strong and recent experience with CABG, TAVR, vascular, and thoracic cases required Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology education program required prior to start BLS certification required National certification (CST) preferred Epic EMR experience Active license required, if applicable Last 4 digits of SSN and full date of birth required for consideration Minimum of 1 professional reference dated within the past year, from a Supervisor, Manager, Director, or Charge RN Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position Additional Information Scrubs are provided by the facility Free parking is available on-site Orientation consists of 1 week in the main OR followed by 2 weeks in the CVOR, conducted over five 8-hour shifts Department support includes OR assistants (6 on weekdays), a receptionist/HUC, charge nurse, and 24/7 anesthesia/CRNA coverage First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates who have worked a permanent position at an AHSE facility must have been separated for at least 1 year before being considered A manager interview is required as part of the selection processSimilar jobs in Charlotte, NC
