Role Overview As a Surgical Technologist, you will collaborate closely with surgeons, registered nurses and the broader OR team to: Ensure the operating room environment is safe, sterile and efficient. Set up, maintain and troubleshoot equipment and instrumentation so procedures run smoothly. Apply your expertise in sterile and aseptic techniques to optimize surgical outcomes. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team and actively contribute to a positive patient experience. Qualifications & Key Requirements High School diploma or GED required. Graduation from an accredited School of Surgical Technology program or military equivalent (e.g., MOS 68D - Operating Room Specialist). Current Surgical Technologist certification preferred; if not certified at hire, newly qualified grads may be required to achieve certification within 12 months. Prior experience as a Surgical Technologist preferred — the ability to swiftly validate skills, learn department-specific competencies, and navigate a fast‐paced operating room environment is important. Strong customer-service mindset, excellent interpersonal communication, time-management and team-oriented attitude. What We're Looking For:

Education:

High School Diploma or GED, required. Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology program or Military Training Equivalent (68D - Operating Room Specialist). For incumbents who are not graduates of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or have certification please see additional skills required.

Experience:

Previous Surgical Technologist experience, preferred.

Licensure/certification/registration:

Current Surgical Tech Certification, preferred.

Additional skills required:

For incumbents who are not graduates of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or have certification the following additional requirements apply: new graduates must obtain certification within 12months of hire. Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skill validation and competency testing. Demonstrate effective and appropriate customer service skills, verbal and nonverbal communication techniques, interpersonal relationship skills, and time management skills
