Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract An excellent opportunity is available for a skilled professional with certified surgical tech and operating room technician experience. This contract position calls for expertise in supporting surgical procedures, ensuring a sterile environment, and assisting surgical teams in delivering top-quality patient care.
Desired Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technologist or Operating Room Technician program Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Operating Room Technician (ORT) Proven experience supporting operating room procedures in a hospital or clinical setting Comprehensive understanding of aseptic technique and infection control protocols Exceptional attention to detail, communication, and organizational skills Ability to thrive within a fast-paced surgical environment
Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies Assist surgical team members during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields Monitor and maintain aseptic technique throughout all surgical interventions Ensure accurate counts of instruments, sponges, and other materials before, during, and after procedures Assist with specimen collection, labeling, and transportation to designated areas Support patient safety and comfort before, during, and after surgery Collaborate closely with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers for efficient surgical workflows This is a contract position designed for dedicated professionals aiming to make a meaningful impact in the surgical environment.
