Working in this advanced cardiovascular operating department, you'll be exposed to a broad variety of complex cases—ranging from open hearts and thoracic surgeries to cutting-edge procedures involving robotics and ECMO. You'll work alongside seasoned leaders and colleagues, gaining insights into diverse surgical techniques and leadership styles, which can greatly enrich your resume and open new career pathways.
Schedule/Hours:
0645-1515 Monday through Friday Early starts at 6:00 a.m. for designated open-heart case prep (notification provided the day before) Opportunity for overtime Weeknight call: 3-4 times per week (1515-0645) Weekend call: every other to every third weekend (Fri 1515-Mon 0645) Rotating holiday/on-call responsibilities (must be able to report within 15 minutes)Qualifications:
BLS certification required CST or NCCT certification, ND UAP credential Minimum 2 years of CVOR experience with proficiency in open heart surgeries (CABG, Valve procedures) First scrub experience required Flexible and willing to cross-train into general OR and float as a 1:1 sitter as needed Team-oriented and adaptable to changing case loads Willing to work a variety of shifts including calls and holidaysPrimary Responsibilities:
First scrub for open hearts and other major CV procedures Cross-train and support general OR and orthopedics as needed Float to patient-care floor, providing 1:1 sitter support when case volume is low Collaborate with the charge nurse/manager and CV team lead to optimize patient care Maintain professional standards and adhere to dress code (scrubs provided)Perks & Benefits:
