1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist with orthopedic trauma and neuro/cranial experience for a 13-week OR position at an acute care hospital. Details Acute care hospital OR with 11 suites averaging 18 cases per day Common case types include orthopedics, urology, ENT, and neuro (backs and cranials) Utilizes Da Vinci robotics, Mako, Stealth, and Scopis technology Epic EMR Schedule is five 8-hour day shifts (0700 start, M-F) with call requirements One weeknight of call per week from end of shift until 0700 the next morning Three weekend call days per month on 24-hour shifts Holiday call coverage required as needed Call response time is 15 minutes No floating requirements Scrubs are provided by the facility Requirements Minimum 2 years of surgical tech experience required Orthopedic total joint and orthopedic trauma experience required Neuro/cranial experience required, with ability to independently scrub cranial procedures Level II trauma experience required General OR experience required Must be able to independently scrub all assigned cases BLS certification required (active, no pending certifications accepted) CST credential preferred but not required License required if applicable — must be active at time of consideration; pending licenses will not be accepted Two professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years, including dates of employment and eligibility for rehire Copy of driver's license required for consideration Additional Information One week of unit/department-specific orientation provided Facility offers a strong surgeon and anesthesia partnership with a wide variety of cases and acuity levels Candidates should be prepared for a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a strong work ethic, hustle, and commitment to patient safety Block scheduling and matched traveler duo schedules are not permitted; candidates must be flexible with scheduling Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments; refusal to remove will result to contract termination Candidates may not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit-affiliated facility within the past year; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered Candidates residing in NE must maintain a permanent address at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify for travel pay rates A dedicated manager and charge nurse are present on each shift, with the charge nurse carrying no room assignmentSimilar jobs in Kearney, NE
