11:00 AM•12:00 Midnight (Variable Schedule) Position Overview Facility is seeking an experienced Travel Surgical Technologist to join its Operating Room team. The Surgical Technologist assists in the care of surgical patients by preparing and maintaining sterile fields, handling surgical instruments and supplies, and anticipating the needs of surgeons during operative procedures. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, extensive operating room experience, and the ability to function effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by ensuring all required instruments, equipment, and supplies are available and functioning properly. Establish and maintain sterile fields throughout surgical procedures. Assist surgeons by passing instruments, supplies, and equipment during operations. Anticipate the needs of surgeons and surgical teams to facilitate efficient workflow and positive patient outcomes. Perform surgical counts according to established policies and procedures. Ensure proper handling, care, and accountability of surgical instruments and equipment. Monitor and maintain aseptic technique throughout all phases of surgery. Collaborate closely with surgeons, registered nurses, anesthesia providers, and other perioperative team members. Assist with patient positioning, preparation, and transport as directed. Adhere to hospital policies, infection prevention standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols. Practice Standard Precautions and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff. Support quality patient care initiatives and contribute to efficient operating room operations. Required Experience Recent Operating Room Surgical Technologist experience required.
Strong experience in:
Orthopedic Surgery Neurosurgery Robotic Surgery Vascular Surgery Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced surgical environment. Experience handling complex surgical instrumentation and specialty equipment preferred. Required Qualifications Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program. High School Diploma or GED required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred or required per facility policy. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Thorough knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile technique. Ability to anticipate surgeon needs during procedures. Strong understanding of infection prevention and operating room safety standards. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to remain focused and organized in high-pressure situations. Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and maintaining surgical excellence. Physical Requirements Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 35 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move for extended periods. Ability to tolerate prolonged periods of standing during surgical procedures. Pay:

Orthopedic Surgery, Neurosurgery, Robotic Surgery, Vascular Surgery Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program. High School Diploma or GED required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred. Are you comfortable with the 36 Hours/Week, 3x12-Hour days Shifts? Are you comfortable working onsite at the location Summit, NJ 07901? Are you comfortable working on 3-5 months of contract assignment with extensions? Are you comfortable with the rate of $55•$60 an hour? Do you hold EPIC experience? Are you a local or traveler•Travelers are accepted living beyond 50 miles with a copy of their driving license or a state ID stating permanent residency and are eligible for a travel package.
