Here, you'll work alongside a variety of skilled teams and experience different leadership approaches, all while enhancing your resume with advanced surgical specialties. Blocked scheduling (4 days, 10-hour shifts: 6:30 AM-5:00 PM) ensures consistency and ample downtime to explore the lively city and its surroundings. Flexibility is key, as floating within Surgical Services may be required, allowing you to expand your expertise across multiple units—perfect for career growth.
Role Expectations & Responsibilities:
Consistently maintain aseptic techniques and monitor for possible breaches, ensuring patient safety at all times Provide pre-operative support and comfort, upholding patient privacy and dignity Prep and position patients for surgery, transport them to and from OR suites Identify, care for, and manage biological specimens Set up operating rooms with required tables, instruments, and supplies based on physician preference cards Handle direct assistance during procedures—proficiently scrub in specialty areas such as Transplants, Open Heart, Neurology, and Robotics is highly desirable Collaborate seamlessly with the surgical team in planning and execution of patient care Adhere to strict sanitation, decontamination, and sterilization protocols Tailor care approaches for diverse patient populationsQualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Formal completion of a Surgical Technology or accredited LVN/LPN program Active BLS certification from AHA Certified Surgical Technologist or LVN/LPN license required 2+ years of surgical experience preferred Why choose this travel role?
