Job Summary:
The Certified Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities. Must be able to work at least 6 shifts/month We offer: Monday-Friday daytime work schedule NO call required NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours
Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED Completion of Surgical Technologist training program 2 + years experience as a Surgical Scrub Tech with experience in multiple specialties. Must have experience working orthopedic procedures. Certification as required by state of Nevada Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians Who We Are We are part of a much larger team with United Surgical Partners International (USPI).
