Durango Outpatient Surgery Center is a fast-paced Ambulatory Surgery Center committed to producing the highest quality work and experience for patients and their families. Our mission is to provide first-class surgical services to the local community in a safe, comfortable, welcoming environment, one in which we would be happy to treat our own families. We have 5 operating rooms offering a full range of surgical procedures including: Bariatrics, Colorectal, General Surgery/Robotics, GI, OB/Gynecology, Sports Medicine, Orthopedic, Pain Management, Podiatry, and Spine. What You Will Do (Job Summary): The Certified Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team. Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures. Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures. Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center. Supports and participates in quality improvement activities. Monday-Friday work schedule NO call required NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours The regular work schedule for this position consists of variable hours, Monday through Friday, during the day shift. Specific start and end times may vary based on operational needs, but the role is generally expected to be performed within standard daytime business hours. Flexibility in scheduling is required to ensure adequate coverage and support for departmental operations. Required Skills:
High School Diploma or GED; Completion of a Surgical Technician Program. Certification required. 2 + years experience as a Scrub Tech in multiple specialties. Need experience working orthopedic and general procedures Experience using the DaVinci robotic systems is a plus Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred Must possess a strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed Must excel in teamwork and possess strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians BLS accredited by AHA Who We Are We are part of a much larger team with United Surgical Partners International (USPI).
