Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Surgical Technician, where you will play a vital role in supporting surgical procedures across various specialties. Your expertise will ensure that operating rooms are prepared, sterile, and equipped for successful surgeries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. Your attention to detail, technical skills, and commitment to safety will directly impact patient outcomes and the efficiency of surgical services. Duties Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments, arranging supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functional and ready for procedures Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgeries by passing instruments, suturing wounds, and managing surgical tools with precision Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection and uphold infection control standards throughout all procedures Monitor patient vital signs, physiological responses, and overall condition during surgery, providing critical data to the surgical team Collect and document data related to surgical procedures, patient responses, and equipment usage in electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or other EMR platforms Support patient care before, during, and after surgery by ensuring comfort, safety, and adherence to hospital protocols Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology to effectively anticipate the needs of the surgical team and respond swiftly Skills Proven experience in OR settings with a strong understanding of aseptic technique and infection control practices Extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to surgical procedures Skilled in suturing techniques and handling surgical instruments with precision Experience working within Level I or Level II trauma centers, emergency medicine environments, or critical care units such as ICU or PICU is highly desirable Familiarity with hospital information systems including Epic EMR systems or other EHR platforms for data collection and medical records management Ability to perform under pressure in acute care settings while maintaining attention to detail and patient safety Strong analysis skills for monitoring vital signs and physiological data during complex surgeries Join us in making a difference!
