In this role, you will assist surgeons and healthcare professionals by preparing operating rooms, ensuring sterile techniques, and supporting patient safety throughout surgical procedures. Your skills in anatomy, physiology, and infection control will help facilitate smooth operations and positive patient outcomes. We are committed to fostering a collaborative environment that values precision, efficiency, and compassionate patient care. Duties Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments, arranging supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly before procedures begin. Assist surgeons during surgeries by passing instruments, suturing wounds, and managing surgical tools with precision and aseptic technique. Monitor vital signs and patient responses during procedures, providing critical data to the surgical team for immediate decision-making. Support infection control protocols by adhering to strict aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures to prevent contamination. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesiologists, nurses, and other healthcare providers in high-pressure environments. Qualifications Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program is required; active certification must be maintained. Proven experience working in OR environments Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and infection control practices essential for safe surgical assistance. Ability to perform suturing and other minor surgical tasks with precision in fast-paced environments like ambulatory surgery centers or trauma centers. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; additional certifications related to trauma or pediatric care are advantageous.
