1 Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with broad multi-service line OR experience for a hospital-based surgical services position requiring on-call availability. Details Hospital OR setting spanning 12 surgical service lines Surgical specialties include bariatric, vascular, ENT, general, gynecological, neurosurgery, orthopedic, plastic/reconstructive, colorectal, thoracic, and urology Robotic surgery cases performed using the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System Day and evening shifts available: days 11:00-21:30 and evenings 13:00-23:30 (4x10-hour shifts) On-call is required for this position Approximately 6 weekend or holiday shifts per 8-week block Scrubs are provided by the facility Epic EMR experience is preferred Requirements CST certification required; license required if applicable Minimum of 1 year of OR surgical tech experience; 3+ years preferred Proficiency across a broad range of surgical procedures including laparoscopic-assisted cases, open and minimally invasive vascular, orthopedic, neuro, gynecological, and thoracic surgeries Experience with robotic-assisted surgery, including the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System Strong knowledge of aseptic technique, decontamination, sterilization processes, sharps safety, and Universal Protocol (time out) procedures Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible First-time travelers will not be considered for this position 2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years required for consideration Full 7-year work history with all gaps explained required for consideration Additional Information Scrub into a wide variety of cases across 12 service lines including bariatric, vascular, ENT, general surgery, gynecology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, plastics, colorectal, thoracic, and urology Assist with robotic-assisted colorectal surgery using the Da Vinci Xi Surgical System Perform instrument, sponge, and sharps counts and participate in Universal Protocol time-out procedures Maintain sterile fields and apply aseptic technique throughout all surgical cases Handle decontamination and sterilization of instruments in accordance with facility protocols Any time-off or scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of initial profile consideration

CST certification requirement may be waived for candidates who previously worked as a surgical tech in New York prior to 2015
