Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) — a vital role dedicated to supporting surgical teams and ensuring exceptional patient care. This position is open to local candidates, offering an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-quality environment. As a CST, you will be instrumental in preparing operating rooms, assisting during surgeries, and maintaining strict adherence to infection control and aseptic techniques. Your expertise will directly contribute to successful surgical outcomes and patient safety across various specialties including trauma, emergency, pediatric, and critical care settings. Duties Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments, arranging supplies, and ensuring all equipment is ready for procedures Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgeries by passing instruments, suturing wounds, and managing surgical supplies with precision Maintain a sterile environment through rigorous aseptic technique and infection control protocols throughout all procedures Collect and document data related to patient vitals, anesthesia levels, and physiological responses during surgery Support patient care by monitoring vital signs, assessing physiological status, and providing comfort before, during, and after procedures Operate electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic to accurately document medical records and surgical details Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in hospital medicine, trauma centers (Level I & II), ICU, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), and ambulatory surgery centers to ensure seamless patient flow and safety Qualifications Certification as a Surgical Technologist from an accredited program is required; local acceptance preferred Proven experience working in OR environments with strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology Demonstrated expertise in aseptic technique, infection control practices, and sterile processing of surgical instruments Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or similar platforms for accurate documentation of medical records Background in Level I or Level II trauma centers, emergency medicine, critical care, or pediatric settings highly desirable Ability to perform suturing skills with precision; familiarity with data collection related to patient vitals and physiological data Strong analysis skills for interpreting clinical information quickly and accurately in high-pressure situations Excellent patient care skills with a focus on safety, comfort, and effective communication across diverse healthcare teams Embark on a rewarding career where your technical skills make a real difference!
