08:00 AM•04:00 PM Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Operating Room Technician (CST) to support surgical teams in a hospital setting. The Surgical Technician will assist Registered Nurses and surgeons during procedures by performing scrub and circulating duties, maintaining sterile technique, and ensuring patient safety throughout the surgical process. Key Responsibilities Perform scrub duties in accordance with aseptic and sterile technique guidelines Prepare and maintain sterile instrument tables, surgical supplies, and operating rooms Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments, sutures, sponges, and supplies Maintain accurate counts of sponges, needles, and instruments with the circulating nurse Assist with patient positioning, draping, specimen handling, and dressings Support room setup, turnover, and post-procedure clean-up Monitor and maintain the sterile field throughout surgical procedures Assist with medication labeling and handling under RN supervision Follow OSHA standards and hospital policies and procedures Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years of OR Technician experience in a hospital setting Cardiac surgery experience required (must be clearly listed on resume) Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification required BLS Certification (AHA) required Completion of an accredited CST training program High School Diploma or GED English language proficiency Key Skills Strong knowledge of operating room procedures and sterile techniques Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical environment High attention to detail and manual dexterity Physical stamina to stand for long procedures Work Environment Hospital-based operating room setting Fast-paced, high-acuity surgical environment Requires adherence to strict safety and infection control standards For more details reach at or Call / Text at 516-862-1203 .
