Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Take on an important role providing support in surgical procedures as a crucial member of the operating room team within a respected health system. This is a contract opportunity lasting 13 weeks, ideal for talented professionals with experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist or skilled in Nursing - ORT. You'll work an early-day schedule from 7:00am to 3:30pm and may be floated between outpatient surgery centers as required.
Schedule:
7:00 am - 3:30 pm Possible floating among outpatient surgical centers
Qualifications:
Certification in Surgical Technology or Nursing - ORT experience required Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Previous experience in hospital or outpatient surgical settings preferred Excellent teamwork, adaptability, and communication skills Ability to provide care with attention to safety, aseptic technique, and patient comfort
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist surgeons and RNs during invasive and non-invasive procedures Prepare the operating room, ensuring all instruments and equipment are sterile and available Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures Adhere strictly to infection control and sterile technique protocols Monitor and account for surgical instruments and sponges throughout procedures Support patient care before, during, and after surgery Flexibly float to other outpatient centers within the system as needed This role offers a chance to further develop your surgical tech or OR nursing skills in a dynamic environment, working closely with diverse healthcare professionals and making a difference for patients every day.
