Job Description

The Surgery Center of North Central Ohio is a multispecialty ambulatory surgery center with 3 operating rooms and 1 procedure room to accommodate outpatient same-day surgery needs. We specialize in orthopedics, podiatry, ophthalmology, gastroenterology and ear, nose and throat services. The Surgery Center is Medicare certified, accredited by ACHC and is licensed by the Ohio Department of Health. We are conveniently located in Norwalk, Ohio
GENERAL SUMMARY AND SCOPE
Surgical technologists work in collaboration with the perioperative team to prepare the operating room and anticipate the needs of the surgical team during each individual procedure throughout the day.

FUNCTIONS
Regular and reliable attendance. Adherence to Surgery Center Policies and Procedures. Knowledge of aseptic technique and a strong surgical conscience. Communicates effectively and professionally with physicians, colleagues, patients and visitors. Preparation of the operating room prior to surgery; anticipating workflow, instrumentation, equipment and supplies necessary for each individual procedure. Strong working knowledge of instrumentation and operating room equipment and the ability to troubleshoot. Assist perioperative team with patient preparation and proper positioning Maintaining organization of inventory while restocking surgical supplies Disinfection, sterilization and basic instrument care.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED Completion of surgical technologist course with operating room experience Current Surgical Technologist certification
