Certified Surgical Technologist (Part-Time) Physicians Regional Surgery Center - Cataract Surgery Specialty St.

Monday-Thursday (Day Shift) About Us Physicians Regional Surgery Center is a high-quality ambulatory surgery center specializing in cataract and ophthalmic procedures. We are committed to providing exceptional patient care in a safe, efficient, and patient-focused environment. We are seeking a skilled and motivated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our surgical team on a part-time basis. Position Summary The Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) assists the surgeon and nursing staff before, during, and after surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will have experience in ophthalmology and cataract surgery and demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong sterile technique, and a commitment to outstanding patient care. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare and maintain the sterile field for ophthalmic surgical procedures. Assist surgeons during cataract and other ophthalmic surgeries by anticipating procedural needs. Prepare, organize, and maintain surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment. Ensure proper handling, sterilization, and storage of surgical instruments. Perform surgical counts according to facility policy. Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent cases. Perform instrument care and sterile processing activities as needed.
Qualifications Required:
Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification. Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program. Current BLS certification. Knowledge of sterile technique and surgical instrumentation. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred:
Experience in ophthalmology and cataract surgery. Experience working in an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). Experience with sterile supply processing and reprocessing of surgical instruments.
