Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Step into a vital role assisting surgical teams by utilizing your expertise as a Certified Surgical Technologist or Operating Room Technician. In this contract position, you'll work closely with surgeons, nurses, and other health professionals to ensure optimal patient care during surgical procedures. This assignment is for 13 weeks and offers a great opportunity to apply your skills in a supportive, fast-paced environment.
Schedule:
5 shifts per week 8-hour shifts Mid-day hours: 11:00 am start
Qualifications:
Certification as a Surgical Technologist (Certified Surgical Tech) or Operating Room Technician (ORT) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification NTCMB certification required Previous experience assisting in operating room environments preferred Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and surgical instrumentation
Core Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms by arranging instruments and supplies for surgical procedures Support the surgical team during operations, demonstrating expertise in sterile technique and instrument handling Maintain a safe, sterile field by anticipating the needs of surgeons and proactively managing equipment Adhere to established policies, regulations, and safety protocols Collaborate with other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care before, during, and after surgery Assist with proper cleaning and sterilization of instruments following procedures
