Surgical Technologist Job Summary:

The Surgical Technologist is responsible for assisting in surgical operations under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses, or other surgical personnel. They prepare operating rooms, arrange equipment, and help doctors during surgeries.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment 2. Assist in surgical procedures by passing instruments and supplies to surgeons 3. Maintain a sterile field during surgery 4. Monitor and anticipate the needs of the surgical team 5. Ensure the proper handling of specimens taken for laboratory analysis 6. Assist in the cleaning and restocking of the operating room 7. Provide support and comfort to patients before, during, and after surgery 8. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations

Qualifications and Skills:

1. High school diploma or equivalent 2. Certification or diploma in surgical technology 3. Knowledge of medical terminology 4. Strong attention to detail 5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 7. Ability to follow instructions accurately 8.
