Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Travel Step into a valued nursing role where your expertise in operating room technology will make a meaningful impact on patient outcomes. As an ORT (Operating Room Technician), you'll collaborate with a multidisciplinary surgical team to ensure optimal surgical environments and patient safety throughout procedures.
Desired Qualifications:
Current certification as a Nursing ORT or Surgical Technologist Demonstrated experience supporting surgical teams in an operating room Understanding of aseptic techniques, surgical instrumentation, and sterile field maintenance Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Familiarity with documentation and patient safety protocols Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment Flexibility to adapt to unforeseen circumstances and changing priorities
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating rooms and ensure all surgical instruments and equipment are properly sterilized and available Assist surgeons, nurses, and anesthesiologists before, during, and after surgical procedures Monitor and maintain sterile field, proactively anticipating the needs of the surgical team Accurately document procedures, instrument counts, and supply usage Verify patient identity and procedure details in collaboration with the surgical team Safely handle specimens and properly dispose of biohazard materials Adhere strictly to infection control policies and facility protocols This contract opportunity offers you the chance to contribute your specialized skills within a supportive, mission-driven environment dedicated to outstanding healthcare delivery.
