Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Step into a vital role supporting surgical excellence as a certified Surgical Technician (ORT) for a 13-week assignment. This contract position offers the chance to work alongside experienced surgical teams, making a meaningful difference in patient care and outcomes.
Schedule:
Ten-hour day shifts: 6:45am - 5:15pm Specific days to be determined during the interview
Qualifications:
Certified Surgical Technician (ORT) credentials Minimum of two years' experience in a surgical setting Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Sharp attention to surgical procedures, sterile technique, and patient safety Team-focused attitude with strong communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile supplies Assist surgeons and nurses throughout operative procedures, maintaining a sterile environment Accurately anticipate and respond to the needs of the surgical team during procedures Handle, prepare, and account for all surgical instruments and materials Participate in pre- and post-operative room clean-up and restocking Maintain detailed documentation as required by hospital and regulatory standards This opportunity allows you to leverage your surgical expertise in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
