Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Step into a crucial surgical tech opportunity supporting operating room teams in Oregon. This 13-week contract role is ideal for a skilled professional ready to contribute expertise in both Nursing-ORT and as a Certified Surgical Technologist. Work within a collaborative environment where your knowledge enhances patient safety and seamless surgical procedures.
Schedule:
3 x 12-hour day shifts per week 9:00am - 9:30pm (specific days determined during interview)
Desired Qualifications:
Current BLS certification (required) Active Surgical Tech - Certified credential Minimum of 2 years' experience in perioperative or related surgical technologist roles Proficiency assisting with various surgical specialties Strong commitment to aseptic technique, safety, and patient advocacy Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare operating room for surgical procedures, ensuring all instruments, supplies, and equipment are set up and functioning properly Scrub in and assist surgical team, anticipating needs of the surgeon and maintaining a sterile environment throughout Count supplies and ensure no instruments are retained post-procedure Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and anesthesia staff to facilitate efficient case flow Adhere strictly to best practices for infection control and safety protocols Document activities accurately and report equipment or supply issues promptly
