Job Description

Category Nursing - CVOR Tech Job Type Contract Specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) procedures, this position offers an exciting opportunity to work alongside dedicated surgical teams supporting critical patient care. As a CVOR Tech, your expertise will contribute directly to successful surgical outcomes, ensuring a safe and efficient operative environment.
Key Qualifications:
Certified CVOR Technician (CVOR Tech) credential required Proven experience assisting with cardiovascular and thoracic surgery Thorough understanding of sterile techniques and infection control standards Skilled in setup, operation, and troubleshooting of surgical equipment Strong ability to anticipate surgical team needs and respond swiftly Excellent communication skills and the capacity to remain composed under pressure Adherence to confidentiality protocols and HIPAA regulations
Schedule/Hours:
Contract position, hours/schedule may vary by surgical needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Prepare operating room by assembling appropriate equipment and supplies for each procedure Assist surgeons and nursing staff during cardiovascular surgeries, including instrument handling and specimen collection Maintain a sterile field throughout procedures, following rigorous protocols Monitor, count, and account for all surgical instruments and materials, supporting patient safety Ensure accurate documentation and support with post-procedure clean-up Promote collaboration and efficient workflow within the surgical team Why You'll Excel in
