  • Part-time, Full-time Surgical Technologist Job Description Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technologist to join our dynamic healthcare team.
The Surgical Technologist plays a crucial role in assisting surgical teams before, during, and after surgical procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of surgical practices, patient care, and the ability to work effectively in high-pressure environments. Duties Prepare and maintain the sterile field for surgical procedures by ensuring all instruments and supplies are ready for use. Assist surgeons and other medical staff during surgeries by passing instruments and providing necessary support. Monitor the patient's condition before, during, and after surgery to ensure safety and comfort. Maintain accurate counts of all surgical instruments and supplies to prevent any items from being left inside the patient. Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure proper patient care pre
  • and post-operation.
Adhere to infection control protocols to minimize the risk of infection in surgical settings. Document all relevant information related to the surgical procedure in electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Epic. Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on best practices in surgical technology. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology is essential for effective communication within the surgical team. Familiarity with infection control practices to ensure patient safety during surgical procedures. Ability to work effectively in an ambulatory surgery center environment. Excellent teamwork skills with an ability to thrive under pressure in fast-paced situations. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
