Job Title:
Surgical Technician Shift Hours:
- 3x12s: 7:00 AM-7:30 PM
Call Schedule:
Once per week and every 6th weekendSchedule Notes:
- 13-week contract length with potential to extend
REQUIRED
Minimum 1 year ST experience, BLS certification through AHA, current CST certification, previous travel experience, High School diploma or GED equivalentJob Summary:
- Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and Surgical Team members, responsible for the handling or surgical instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during general surgical procedures
- Ensures understanding of assigned surgical procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the assigned surgical team
- Also provides service support related to patient preparation, patient transport, building services and assisting surgical care team with specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs
- Responds to emergent situations according to established procedures
Required Skills & Experience:
- Must have at least 1+ years of strong recent ST experience
Previous Travel Experience Required Education:
- HS Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Education:
- Graduate of CAAHEP accredited Surgical Technology program preferred (not required)
Required Certification & Licensure:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support required
BLS - AHA
