The right individuals to tackle your immediate needs. Our recruiters don't just fill positions; they place people. We are looking for a Surgical Technologist in the Rochester Michigan area. 7pm
  • 7:30am shift.
Job Summary :
Under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse and Surgical Team members, responsible for the handling or surgical instruments, supplies and equipment necessary during general surgical procedures. Ensures understanding of assigned surgical procedure being performed and anticipates the needs of the assigned surgical team. Also provides service support related to patient preparation, patient transport, building services and assisting surgical care team with specific patient care duties to meet safety and comfort needs. Responds to emergent situations according to established procedures. Required Skills & Experience
  • Candidate will be working in the Labor & Delivery unit.
  • Must have at least 2 years experience.
  • BLS and CST
  • Physical ability to lift and move patients.
  • Physical ability to push, pull and/or lift case carts, instrument trays and equipment.
  • Able to work in a patient care area environment which may include exposure to communicable diseases, unpleasant odors, acute patient conditions, potential exposure to information, hazardous gases.
  • Prolonged standing and walking.
Required Certification & Licensure:
  • Current BLS certification required or become BLS certified within one month of start date. Required Education
  • High school diploma or G.
E.D.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
  • One year of Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
Preferred Education :
  • Graduate of CAAHEP accredited Surgical Technology program preferred.
