Job Description

City/State Hampton, VA Work Shift Rotating Overview:
Sentara Careplex Hospital is currently hiring a Certified Surgical Technologist to work a Full Time, 14-week assignment! Travel Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Sentara Careplex Hospital
  • Hampton, VA Temporary Full Time & Rotating Shift Mostly dayshift 8
  • or 10
  • hours shifts (645-1515 or 645-1715).
There may be a need for an occasional 11a-7p coverage.
Call Requirement:
30 minute response time, 2 weekend shifts (7am-7pm on call) per 6-week schedule. $60.00/hr Temporary Full Time, 40 hours/week Rotating shift 14-week assignment No benefits Overview The Surgical Technologist ensures that the operating room is properly prepared with the necessary instruments and equipment and assists the surgical team throughout the procedure by passing instruments, maintaining the sterile field, and anticipating the needs of the surgeon. The role involves maintaining patient safety and ensuring that the surgical environment is organized, clean, and sterile. The Surgical Technologist assists in applying dressings, securing surgical drapes and transferring patients to recovery areas. Adheres to infection control protocols and sterile techniques to prevent contamination and ensure patient safety. Works closely with the surgical team to ensure smooth and effective procedures. Surgical Technologist Licensure required in the state of practice. Must possess one of the following certifications: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
