Rotating Shifts:

7:15 AM

• 3:45 PM | 9:30 AM
• 6:00 PM Monday
• Friday Rotating weekends required Weekday call and holiday call required Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a skilled and experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to support surgical services within a fast-paced acute care operating room environment.

This role is responsible for assisting surgeons and nursing staff during a variety of surgical procedures while maintaining a sterile field and ensuring optimal patient safety and care standards. Key Responsibilities Prepare and set up the operating room with surgical instruments, sterile drapes, and necessary supplies Maintain sterile technique in accordance with hospital policies and AORN standards Perform scrub duties across multiple surgical specialties Pass instruments and sterile supplies to surgeons during procedures Assist with retractors, suturing materials, and surgical counts (sponges, needles, instruments) Ensure proper functioning of surgical equipment and instrumentation Prepare, handle, and transport surgical specimens for laboratory analysis Assist with patient positioning, transport, and intraoperative support Support application of surgical dressings and postoperative activities Operate sterilization equipment and follow sterilization protocols Prepare and label medications under supervision of the RN and surgeon Assist in patient transfer to recovery areas Support OR turnover, cleaning, and restocking between procedures Maintain patient safety, privacy, and dignity at all times Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and collaborative initiatives Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program (civilian or military) Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential through NBSTSA (active and in good standing) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Strong knowledge of sterile technique and infection control practices Ability to communicate effectively in English (verbal and written) Preferred Qualifications Orthopedic (Ortho) surgical experience Experience in a multi-specialty operating room environment Strong teamwork and communication skills Certifications Required Certified Surgical Technologist (CST)
