1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with at least 2 years of experience across multiple OR service lines for a 13-week travel assignment at an acute care hospital in Orangeburg, SC. Details 286-bed acute care hospital with 9 operating rooms Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts (6:45 AM-5:15 PM) Surgical services covering General Surgery, Robotics, Orthopedics, Podiatry, Gynecology, Ophthalmology, Urology, and ENT On-call is required: approximately 4 weekday call shifts and 1.5 weekends per 4-week period Floating between service lines within the facility is required Epic EMR (experience preferred) Scrubs are provided by the facility Free parking available Requirements Minimum of 2 years of CST experience required, with experience across all required service lines NBSTSA Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required — NCCT certification is not accepted BLS certification from the American Heart Association required (AHA only) Radiation badge required — must be provided by the candidate's agency prior to start SSN and Driver's License required for consideration License required if applicable 2 professional references from a supervisor within the past 2 years required for consideration Additional Information First-time travelers may be considered, provided they have experience in all required surgical service lines Candidates living within 60 miles of the facility are considered local; non-local candidates are prioritized Local candidates may be considered on a case-by-case basis Former permanent or PRN staff at any MUSC facility must have been separated from the system for at least 1 year before being eligible to work as a traveler All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of consideration; approval is based on facility needs Orientation modules are completed prior to the start date and average approximately 4 hours Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June-November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak activity months are August and September
