Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated, professional, friendly, outgoing and mature individual to join our small oral surgery practice. We are looking for someone who is a hard worker with great people skills and good work ethic. We pride ourselves on a family work environment with great staff and a low stress environment. Our patients are treated very well and we hold our employees to this standard. Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments, arranging supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning correctly. Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field. Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control standards throughout all phases of surgery. Monitor patient vital signs and assist with patient positioning to optimize surgical access and safety. Collect and document data related to surgical procedures, including medication administration and intraoperative observations. Maintain accurate medical records Support post-operative care by managing supplies, cleaning instruments, and preparing the operating room for subsequent procedures. Demonstrate proficiency in anatomy knowledge, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to surgical interventions. Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams including hospital medic Uphold rigorous infection control practices for patient safety and quality assurance. Qualifications Certification as a Surgical Technologist through an accredited program is required; certification must be current. Proven experience working in OR environments with exposure to diverse surgical specialties including medical-surgical, trauma centers (Level I or Level II), emergency medicine, or ambulatory surgery centers. Demonstrated knowledge of aseptic technique, infection control protocols, and sterilization procedures. Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, vital signs monitoring, and acute care procedures. Experience with suturing techniques and assisting in complex surgeries is highly desirable. Excellent analysis skills for assessing patient needs and responding effectively during emergent situations. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory; additional certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are advantageous. $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
