Job Description

Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Surgical Scrub Technician, where you will play a vital role in supporting our surgical team during a wide range of Ophthalmic procedures. Your expertise in aseptic technique, anatomy, and patient care will ensure that surgeries are conducted smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This energetic position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment at our ambulatory surgery center, providing critical support in elective surgeries. You will be instrumental in maintaining sterile fields, preparing surgical instruments, and assisting surgeons to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. Your dedication to infection control and meticulous attention to detail will help uphold the highest standards of surgical excellence. Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments, arranging supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly before procedures begin Assist surgeons by passing instruments and managing surgical supplies during operations Maintain strict aseptic technique throughout all phases of surgery to prevent infection and ensure patient safety Support infection control protocols by adhering to ASC policies on sterilization and contamination prevention Assist with patient care before, during, and after surgery, including positioning patients and providing comfort measures in the operating room or PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including anesthesia providers, nurses, and physicians to ensure seamless surgical workflows Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, and critical care principles to support complex cases such as trauma or pediatric surgeries Experience Proven experience as a Surgical Scrub Technician or in a similar OR support role within hospital environments Demonstrated competence in sterile techniques and sterile instrument handling Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques necessary for maintaining sterile fields Previous ambulatory surgery center experience is advantageous but not required Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) is mandatory; additional certifications such as Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) are a plus Join us to be part of a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional surgical care. Pay:
$23.00 - $27.00 per hour
