Parkridge Medical Center Parkridge East Hospital Certified Surgical Technologist What will you do: You will demonstrate knowledge of human growth and development, assessment, range of treatment, and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served. You will promote customer service initiatives. You will function as scrub person during operative procedures. You will demonstrate ability to perform technical skills and procedures. You will assist in the intra-operative care of the patient by performing technical duties as assigned You will deliver compassionate, holistic care, while supporting the rights and dignity of all patients.
What qualifications you will need:
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Tech Program or equivalent training. Certification as a Surgical Technologist preferred. Surgical technologist students may be hired prior to graduation (within 3 months of graduation). Upon graduation, verification of completion of requirements will be verified. Failure to complete graduation requirements can result in termination of the position. Detail-oriented with ability to sustain concentration overlong periods of time. Customer service abilities including effective listening skills. Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 25 pounds BLS certification (new employees have up to90 days from date of hire to obtain the American Heart Association BLS for healthcare providers) Benefits We offer a total rewards package to support your health, life, career and retirement.
