ABOUT THE UNIT
At Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC), the Labor and Delivery department is a state-of-the-art unit located on the fourth floor, alongside the Mother-Baby unit and Level II NICU. The department features 12 Labor-Delivery-Recovery (LDR) rooms, four triage beds and two operating suite. Our nurse-to-patient ratio varies depending on patient needs, stages of labor, and AWHONN guidelines. As a Level II Obstetric Unit, we offer a wide range of maternal-fetal services for both normal pregnancies and those with mild to moderate complications. Our interdisciplinary team, including obstetricians, CRNAs, neonatal nurse practitioners, lactation consultants, registered nurses and surgical technologists, provides compassionate and high-quality care in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. We specialize in planned deliveries for infants expected to be >32 weeks gestation and are equipped to handle emergency care for unplanned births requiring subspeciality services.
