Position Summary:
Provides for the care and safety of the surgical patient prior to, during, and after the surgical procedure. Prepares and maintains the sterile surgical field for each procedure and assures proper handling of instruments afterward. UT Day Surgery Overview UTDS is an outpatient surgery center that is connected to the Main Hospital, offering same day surgeries. Open Monday-Friday, No weekends! No Call Requirements Closed for the 6
Major Holidays:
New Years Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
Position Qualification:
Certification is a requirement for employment in the State of Tennessee as a surgical technologist, a graduate of an CAAHEP-accredited surgical technology program or an U.S. military surgical technology program.
