Included in your responsibilities:
Monitoring PAR levels of all surgical instruments and supplies, cleaning and sterilizing all surgical instruments. They will also Participate in staff meetings and performance improvement activities, working under the direction and supervision of a Registered Nurse.
Hours:
Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:00pm, and 2 weekends per month. Holiday rotation is required.
Essential Responsibilities:
Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of patients served in the Facility. Must demonstrate the knowledge of the principle of growth and development of the life span and possess the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's requirements relative to his/her age specific needs and to provide the care needed as described in the Facility's policies and procedures. Knowledge of instruments and surgical techniques; instrument and needle counts; isolation techniques and terminal cleaning of surgical instruments and rooms. Demonstrates the knowledge of specific technical surgical skills. Functions within the position description and within the scope of employee/patient relationship. Participates in opportunities of continuing education Demonstrates the ability to utilize recognized channels of communication. Demonstrates the ability to maintain good interpersonal relationships with patients, coworkers, and other health team members. Ability to read and communicate effectively in English. Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent; college preferred . At least two (2) years of operating room experience required. Graduate of approved Operating Room Technical School - CERTIFICATION
