The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of surgical procedures, sterile techniques, and patient care within diverse clinical settings. As a Certified Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in supporting surgeons and ensuring optimal patient outcomes by preparing operating rooms, assisting during surgeries, and maintaining strict infection control standards. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment that values precision, teamwork, and excellence in patient care. Duties Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing instruments, arranging supplies, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly before procedures. Assist surgeons during operative procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and other sterile supplies efficiently and accurately. Maintain strict aseptic techniques throughout all phases of surgical procedures to prevent infection. Monitor and record vital signs and patient responses during surgery, providing critical data for clinical decision-making. Ensure proper handling and disposal of biohazardous materials in accordance with infection control protocols. Support patient care activities including positioning patients safely on operating tables and ensuring comfort throughout procedures. Document surgical procedures accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical records for compliance and continuity of care. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless workflow, adherence to safety standards, and optimal patient outcomes. Experience Proven experience as a Surgical Technologist in hospital settings with exposure to diverse surgical disciplines such as medical-surgical, emergency medicine, trauma centers (Level I or Level II), pediatrics, or critical care environments including ICU and PICU. Extensive OR experience with proficiency in aseptic technique, suturing, anatomy knowledge, physiology understanding, and infection control practices. Familiarity with hospital medicine workflows, EMR systems such as Epic or other EHR platforms, and ambulatory surgery center operations. Demonstrated ability to perform data collection related to surgical procedures and patient responses for quality assurance purposes. Experience working within high-pressure environments such as Level I Trauma Centers or acute care units requiring rapid response skills. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; additional certifications related to trauma or emergency medicine are advantageous. Strong analysis skills coupled with attention to detail in managing medical records, vital signs monitoring, and procedural documentation.
