Noon | 5x8‑hour shifts (10:30 AM - 07:00 PM) Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a 13‑week travel assignment in San Antonio, TX. The CST will scrub independently for a variety of surgical specialties, including vascular, plastics reconstructive, robotics, and orthopedics. Candidates must demonstrate strong sterile technique, perioperative teamwork, and the ability to support complex surgical cases in a fast‑paced acute care environment. Requirements Minimum 1+ years of recent CST experience Proficiency in the following specialties: Vascular procedures Plastics reconstructive cases (DIEP flaps/microsurgery) Robotics (Bariatric, GYN, General, Colorectal) Orthopedics (Total Joints) Must be able to scrub independently Proficiency with EMR systems (Epic or Cerner preferred, confirm with facility) Certifications Current BLS certification (AHA required) Active NBSTSA certification Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms and maintain sterile environments Handle and assemble surgical instruments and trays Scrub independently for surgical procedures across multiple specialties Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and anesthesia providers to ensure safe patient care Apply sterile technique and infection control standards Document surgical processes accurately in EMR systems Work Environment Short‑term acute care hospital setting Requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to work under pressure Team‑oriented environment with interdisciplinary collaboration
