Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Surgical Technologist/ SPD to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the operating room, assisting surgeons and ensuring that surgical procedures are conducted efficiently and safely. This position requires a strong understanding of aseptic techniques, patient care, and the ability to work in high-pressure environments such as ambulatory surgery centers. Responsibilities Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures. Assist surgeons by providing necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment. Ensure all medical records are accurately documented and maintained. Collaborate with the surgical team to analyze patient needs and provide optimal care. Implement infection control protocols to prevent contamination. Participate in emergency medicine scenarios as needed. Conduct thorough pre-operative checks to ensure all equipment is functioning properly. Experience with SPD Skills Proficiency in aseptic technique and infection control practices. Familiarity with medical records management and documentation processes. Ability to analyze situations quickly and make informed decisions under pressure. Strong patient care skills, particularly in adult settings. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with medical staff and patients. Knowledge of emergency medicine protocols and procedures. Basic knowledge of sterile processing and cleaning of the surgical instruments.
