Surgical Technologist

Inova Fair Oaks Hospital is looking for a dedicated Surgical Technologist 2 to join the OR team. Sign-on Bonus & Relocation assistance eligible.

Shift:

Day Schedule:

Full-time (36hrs/week) working three 12-hour shifts per week, variable day off, on-call requirement for nights, weekends, and holidays.

Demonstrates advanced knowledge and practice in the role of the first scrub. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of anatomy and is able to anticipate the required instrumentation for each step of a surgical procedure. Expedites the operative procedure by anticipating the needs of the surgeon. Keeps the circulating nurse informed of upcoming patient care needs. Demonstrates advanced knowledge of aseptic and surgical techniques. Establishes and maintains an organized sterile field and applies principles of asepsis.

Minimum Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) Licensed in Virginia as a Surgical Technologist upon start (must have at least started application before interview) 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience
