Perioperative Support Tech St Francis Hospital - 3.6 Federal Way, WA Job Details Full-time $23.90 - $38.42 an hour 2 hours ago Qualifications BLS Certification Acute care experience Full Job Description Job Summary and Responsibilities As a Perioperative Support Tech, you will perform self-directed activities crucial for the efficiency and smooth operation of the perioperative area(s), contributing to a safe, sterile, and organized surgical environment. Every day you will inventory, disassemble, clean, reassemble, and maintain OR equipment, while assisting in maintaining a clean OR environment and transporting patients. All tasks will strictly adhere to Standard Precaution guidelines and safety standards. To be successful, you need exceptional attention to detail, a proactive approach to maintaining the perioperative environment, and a thorough understanding of safety protocols. Assists with the flow of surgical instrumentation between processing and surgery; reads OR schedule, anticipates needs and sets-up OR with required supplies and equipment, for respective case(s). Assists in maintaining a clean, sanitary and orderly OR environment. Assists with patients, to include transporting and assisting with lifting, turning, positioning and preparing patients for surgical procedures. Uses standard precautions and appropriate personal protective equipment when transporting patients and when working in the OR.

Demonstrates proper use of communication tools/materials for effective communication and understands how the culture(s) of patient populations can affect communication, collaboration and the provision of care, treatment and services.

Demonstrates knowledge and proper skills associated with the department's defined specific populations served.
