Positions Available:
1 Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a 13‑week travel assignment in an ambulatory surgery center. The technologist will assist in general, orthopedic, podiatry, and ENT procedures, ensuring sterile technique and safe patient care. Candidates must hold CST certification and have at least 1 year of OR experience. Requirements Minimum 1+ year of OR/Surgical Tech experience (required) Experience in ambulatory OR settings (preferred) Active CST certification (required) Current BLS certification (required) Epic charting experience (preferred) First‑time travelers accepted Skills ENT procedures: direct laryngoscopy, endoscopic sinus, mastoidectomy/tympanoplasty/stapedectomy, radical neck dissection, tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, tracheostomy General surgery: hernia repair (inguinal/umbilical), laparoscopic procedures Orthopedic surgery: ACL reconstruction, arthroscopy, arthrotomy, carpal tunnel release, fracture reduction, hip/knee replacement, cast application/removal
Podiatry:
ankle fusion, bunionectomy, hallux valgus arthroplasty/arthrodesis, metatarsal surgery Professional knowledge: aseptic technique, PPE/isolation precautions, sharps safety, specimen handling, universal protocol (time‑out)
Equipment/instrumentation:
scopes, case carts, crash carts, drills, electrosurgical units, fiber optic equipment Responsibilities Prepare ORs and surgical instruments for procedures Assist surgeons during ENT, orthopedic, podiatry, and general surgeries Maintain sterile technique and ensure compliance with safety protocols Document procedures accurately in Epic EMR Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and efficiency Work Environment Ambulatory surgery center with 1 OR room and 1 bed Daily census: ~8 patients, ~5 procedures per day Scrubs provided by facility Off weekends, no on‑call requirements Local and travel candidates accepted
