1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Surgical Technologist with CVOR experience for a 13-week acute care hospital assignment requiring an active Washington state license and BLS certification. Details Acute care hospital CVOR unit performing standard cardiac, vascular, thoracic, and robotic-assisted surgical cases Facility operates 4 CVOR suites handling 22-45 total cases per day across all specialties CVOR is in close proximity to the Cath Lab; the circulating CVOR nurse may be on standby for vascular cases that convert to open Robotics experience preferred but not required; facility uses the da Vinci XI and is willing to train Primary schedule is 5 days x 8-hour shifts, 0715-1500, Monday through Friday; varied start times and 10s and 12s are also used Weekend coverage is handled through call rotation Call requirement is 8-9 call days per month; call hours run 9:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with weekend call structured as Call 1 (12-hour days), Call 2 (12-hour nights), and Call 3 (24-hour backup) Call response time is 30 minutes Holiday coverage is handled by rotation CVOR techs may float to the Main OR EMR is Epic Block scheduling is available Requirements Minimum of 2 years of Surgical Tech experience required CVOR experience required Active Washington state license required (pending licenses are not accepted); license required if applicable BLS certification required; active certifications only — pending certifications will not be accepted National certification (CST) is not required for this position A copy of your driver's license is required for consideration 2 professional references required for consideration: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked; references must include dates of employment and eligibility for rehire COVID vaccination is required Additional Information Scrubs are provided by the facility Orientation is approximately 1 week in length A charge nurse is present on every shift covering both Main OR and CVOR; a dedicated resource nurse is also available for CVOR Candidates who have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health facility within the past year are not eligible; candidates employed PRN through outside firms will be considered Housing in the area may be difficult to secure; travelers are encouraged to plan ahead
