Job Description
Upper Mississippi Surgery Center (UMSC) is a multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center located in Hazel Green, Wi. We are growing our team of compassionate, skilled professionals who value being part of a smaller, close-knit team where collaboration and accountability are essential. Each member of our team plays an important role in delivering high -quality patient care. Our Center is committed to safety, quality and efficiency.
Surgical Technologist :
Key Duties include: Preparing the operating rooms for surgery by setting up surgical instruments and equipment. You will work collaboratively with physicians, anesthesia and other members of the health care team to ensure an efficient, effective and safe surgical experience Responsible to ensure all surgical instruments are sterilized and in proper working or Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain up-to-date knowledge of best practices in ambulatory surgery. Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines.Qualifications:
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is required.
- Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures performed in an ASC setting
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Central Sterilization knowledge preferred
