Surgery Student Scrub Tech (Part Time) - 6210

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a Part Time Surgical Student Tech for our Surgery Department. The Surgical Student Tech, under the supervision of a Staff Nurse or authorized designee, assists with the care of the patient in the Operating Room by scrubbing for most types of surgery. Assists the Surgeon and Anesthetist within the limits of current level of a technician's education. May perform some housekeeping and preparation of supplies and instrumentation.

EDUCATION

High school graduate or equivalent who is currently enrolled in a nationally accredited school for surgery technicians or has completed one semester of nursing school.

EXPERIENCE

None, Student enrolled in surgery technician school.

SKILLS:

Manual dexterity. Must be extremely conscientious and have good physical and mental health and stamina.
