Lee Moffitt Cancer Center - 3.9 Tampa, FL Job Details Full-time 21 hours ago Qualifications Patient lift systems BLS Certification High school diploma or GED Lifts and hoists Full Job Description Job Overview The Lead Lift Technician performs leadership functions as an extension of the transport and lift Manager, either in collaboration with or independently in the absence of the manager. The Lead Lift Technician is responsible for performing patient lifts in inpatient and outpatient settings, throughout multiple Moffitt campuses in a safe and efficient manner. The Lead Lift Technician serves as an ambassador for the department as well as the center by demonstrating exceptional customer service skills. The Lead Lift Technician is responsible for the day-to-day operations to ensure quality standards are maintained and ambulation of patients is performed. Essential Functions Read and follow manufacturer's directions related to lift equipment. Transfer patients, Reposition patients. Work with Registered Nurse and/ or nursing assistant to turn, lift, or transfer patient. Inventory, clean and maintain lift equipment; remove from service if in need of repair. Perform inventory of lift equipment, check lift equipment for damage and clean the equipment according to Moffitt's infection control policy. Performs quarterly audits on lift technicians to assist with staff education, development and training. Conducts annual and bi-annual safe patient handling education to nursing staff and medical personnel on the proper usage of lift equipment and safely ambulating patients. Conducts evaluations on lift technicians annually.
Education:
High School Diploma/GED Licensure /
Certification:
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Minimum Qualifications:
Experience in utilization of lift equipment Knowledgeable of transferring and repositioning of patients utilizing appropriate equipment and in accordance with Moffitt's mission, vision and values.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledgeable of training and Inservice on lift equipment instructions and training on safe patient handling, utilization of lift equipment and techniques for moving or transferring complex dependent maneuvers when indicated. Experience with complex/ dependent patient lifts/ transfers
