• Position Purpose:

• The Telemetry Technician provides ongoing observation and interpretation of cardiac rhythms; prepares and maintains telemetry records and maintains a functioning telemetry system.
• What you will do:
• + Observes and interprets cardiac rhythms.

+ Records ECG strips at designated intervals and as changes occur. + Prints cardiac rhythm strips as needed. + Notifies RN of all changes in rhythm and heart rate. + Maintains telemetry records. + Ensures proper functioning of telemetry system. Trouble shoots equipment problems. + Updates Communication Board. + Communicates with internal/external customers/colleagues in a courteous, positive, empathic, and professional manner. Displays excellent telephone etiquette. Speaks to everyone. Always communicates with care. Speaks calmly, clearly, and courteously. Stops and listens when a customer/colleague speaks. Communicates consistently with colleagues in a professional and respectful manner and accepts assignments willingly.

• + Part Time - Rotating Wednesdays and every 3rd weekend

• Education
• + High school education or equivalent

• Experience:

• + Demonstrated competence working with patients is preferred.

• + Communicates effectively.

+ Demonstrates ability to understand and follow direction. + Demonstrates responsiveness to needs of patients, families, peers and professional staff. + Demonstrates continuous application of proper body mechanics. + Ability to work flexible hours. + Demonstrates the ability to interpret cardiac rhythms. + Demonstrates basic computer skills + Must display proper telephone etiquette.
