Job Description

Monitor Technician Bryan Health United States, Nebraska, Lincoln 1600 South 48th Street (Show on map) May 14, 2026 SUMMARY Responsible for the continual monitoring of cardiac rhythms of electrocardiographic central station monitors and remote telemetry patients monitors. Maintains equipment, supplies, interprets cardiac rhythms and reports any changes or concerns of the cardiac rhythm to the appropriate nurse.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
  • Commits to the mission, vision, beliefs and consistently demonstrates our core values.
  • Performs, communicates and documents cardiac rhythm interpretation and documents dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation.
  • Provides direct observation of telemetry monitors; distributes monitors to staff for unit/remote monitoring; and maintains monitoring equipment as needed.
  • Records routine strips for the medical record; maintains documentation of routine strips and any changes in rhythm and rate.
  • Maintains documentation regarding admissions, transfers and dismissals of all patients on telemetry monitors.
  • Maintains and orders telemetry supplies and equipment as needed on the assigned unit.
QUALIFICATIONS
High School diploma or equivalency required. Successful completion of an ECG monitoring class within 6 months of hire required. Prior telemetry monitoring experience in a medical facility preferred.
