GENERAL SUMMARY
Works under the supervision of a Nurse Manager. The Care View Tech's primary job function is to perform general duties for the department, supports each strategic value by providing excellent care to those we serve. The Care View Tech may perform a variety of basic patient care activities in caring for the personal needs and comfort of patients. Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required Clerical vocational training preferred
Licensure:
BLS within 90 days of hire required
Experience:
Previous patient care experience preferred
JOB SPECIFIC DUTIES AND PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
The following is a summary of the major job duties of this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time. 1. Monitors patient movement by means of a camera and a panel of monitors. 2. Reports patient movement and attempts to fall. 3. Assists with rounding on difficult patients or providing 1:1 care for suicidal or difficult to manage patients. 4. Enters and updates patient data and guardrails into the Care View system promptly. 5. Responds to patients in need through the Care View Monitoring system. 6. Reports alarms to appropriate staff member. 7. Prepares various reports as required. 8. Handles significant volumes of confidential data. 9. Maintains patient environment and performs routine cleaning tasks in nursing unit. 10. Observes patients and reports unusual conditions and/or reactions to the nurse. 11. Assists with admissions, discharge, and transfer of patients. 12. Answers call lights and responds to patient needs. 13. Documents according to policy. 14. Performs other duties as assigned.
