Job Description

Monitor Tech - Days McKenzie-Willamette Medical Center is your community medical provider, serving the Willamette Valley and its residents. Our 113-bed hospital offers inpatient, outpatient, diagnostic, medical, surgical and emergency care. We are a family of caregivers offering care to our larger family — our community.
Position Details:
Hourly base rate: $19.54 - $30.56

Days Shift Hours Per Week:
36 hours/week, 12-hour shifts SEIU Local 49 represented position

Job Summary:
Communicate clearly: verbally, in writing, on the telephone and via the patient call system. Simultaneous observation and evaluation of real time cardiac monitors and telemetry monitors.
Manage unit secretarial activity:
assemble, disassemble patient charts, transcribe orders Use computers. Examines heartbeat patterns on electrocardiograph monitors. Makes note of irregular rhythms and monitors changes in heartbeat. Ensures that monitors are functioning properly. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Works under general supervision. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager.
Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent. Associates degree preferred and at least 1 year of experience in the field. Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
